Questions About Me
Professionally: I am a Certified Professional in Training and Performance (CPTP) instructional designer and educator with 20+ years of experience in the life science/pharmaceuticals, IT, insurance, and education industries. My expertise includes instructional design, eLearning development, and curriculum/content development for life science compliance training, sales cloud-computing products, insurance software, career transition, and education. I am known as an innovative and collaborative content curator focused on improving learning design, streamlining processes, and fostering strong team collaboration to deliver learning solutions that meet clients' objectives.
Personally: I am a wife and mother of 3 young adults.
Professionally: I am currently a Senior Instructional Designer at LHT Learning, where I work with a team of instructional designers, medical writers, project managers, subject matter experts, graphic designers, editors, and strategists to design learning solutions for the life sciences, biotech, and healthcare industries. I formerly worked for Red Nucleus as an Instructional Designer within its training institute division (RNTI/LSTI) for designing on-demand GxP products.
Personally: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, biking, walking/running, skiing, reading, and watching movies. I also enjoy listening to music, singing, and playing my flute in a small ensemble, singing in a community choir, and serving my church community.
Professionally: I'm willing and excited to unlock and open doors that lead to new possibilities and passions! Currently, I co-plan and lead our team meetings to discuss current trends in instructional design. I am fascinated by new tools and technologies that can enhance learning, streamline processes, and help stir creativity. I'm interested in exploring anything learning—AI, AR, VR, mixed reality, microlearning, video, graphics, and gamification—to provide exciting learning solutions!
Personally: If I'm not doing the activities already mentioned, you can find me reading and learning about many industry topics and using Canva and Amazon Photos to design cards, posters, photo books/calendars, and flyers on my computer!
Where am I going?
Professionally: My goal is to continue to work and collaborate with a team of professionals who are passionate about designing and developing learning solutions. My preferred industries would be in life science, biotech, and technology, but I am open to other opportunities. Regardless of where I work, I want to continue to hone my instructional design and eLearning developer skills and lead with integrity and by example.
Personally: I work hard. As a result, my goal is to improve my work/life balance, take more time to enjoy my family, do more activities that I enjoy, and cherish the simple things of life. Life is short, and the key to unlocking my heart to personal passions is important, too.
