Questions About Me
Professionally: I am a Certified Professional in Training and Performance (CPTP) instructional designer and educator with 20+ years of experience in the life sciences/pharmaceuticals, IT, and education industries. My expertise includes instructional design, eLearning development, curriculum/content development, SaaS, and teaching/training. I am recognized for curating complex technical content into engaging learning experiences, streamlining ID processes with AI tools, and fostering strong team collaboration to deliver impactful learning solutions that meet clients' objectives.
Personally: I have been married many years to my college sweetheart, and I am a mother to 3 young adults.
Professionally: I am currently a Senior Instructional Designer at LHT Learning, which was recently acquired by Tier 1 Performance. I work with a team of instructional designers, medical writers, project managers, subject matter experts, graphic designers, editors, and strategists to design learning solutions for the life sciences, biotech, healthcare, and technology industries. Previously, I worked at Red Nucleus as an Instructional Designer in its training institute division (RNTI), designing on-demand GxP eLearning courses.
Personally: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking/walking, biking, skiing, reading, and watching movies. I enjoy the beach, but I prefer the mountains! I also enjoy listening to music, singing, and playing my flute in a small ensemble, singing in a community choir, and serving those in need in my community.
Professionally: I'm eager to continue unlocking doors to new possibilities and passions! There is so much to learn! I enjoy reading and participating in webinars regarding the latest instructional design and eLearning trends, AI tools, and authoring application tips and tricks. I'm interested in exploring various learning technologies, including AI, AR, VR, and mixed reality, as well as other learning media such as microlearning, video, graphics, and gamification, to provide exciting learning solutions.
Personally: If I'm not doing the activities already mentioned, you can find me reading and learning about many industry topics and using Canva and Amazon Photos to design cards, posters, photo books/calendars, and flyers!
Where am I going?
Professionally: My goal is to continue working and collaborating with a team of professionals passionate about designing and developing learning solutions. My preferred industries are life science, biotech, and technology, but I am open to other opportunities. Regardless of where I work, I aim to lead with integrity and continue to hone my instructional design and eLearning development skills.
Personally: Life is short, and unlocking my heart to my personal passions is important, too. As a result, my goal is to improve my work-life balance, take more time to enjoy my family, engage in activities that I enjoy, and cherish the simple things in life.
